I use a scooter during summer for work that gets about 70 miles to the gallon. I’m seeing more of them on the street as gas prices keep climbing. I use fluorescent curly Q bulbs throughout my home. I use Solar energy to run low voltage lighting as well.
I’d like to ask my friends and family not to send me Chritsmas cards. How do I do so without being rude?
Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009I think cards are a waste of paper and fuel. E-mail or a phone call are just fine.
While it is perfectly acceptable for you to make that decision for yourself, it is not acceptable for you to make that decision for others. Some people find it especially joyful to send cards.
It would be a good idea to send e-cards to everyone with a note as to why you are doing it. If you are doing it early enough, they may choose to do the same. Ultimately, you can not and should not try to control them though.
