Does U-Haul provide a fuel card, or do I need to pay for fuel myself?

Thursday, March 17th, 2011

Seeing as they charge $0.49 per kilometre, I assume they don’t, but some clarity would be good.
I’ll call them to double check, but it’s not a good time for me right now.

Would I get a fuel charge card from U-Haul, or would I reclaim the costs upon returning the truck, or is it my responsibility to pay for the fuel?

Thanks!
In case it matters, I’m from the UK and will be in Canada next month.

The mileage charge does not include anything else.
You pay for fuel and motor oil.
They will reimburse you for the motor oil.
If you return with less than a full tank, they will fill and charge their rate – usually higher than regular gas stations.

The Global Gas Card Is Here To Save You 10%

http://theglobalgascard.com Gas gift cards are issued by gasoline companies to accommodate their customers. These gift cards are often good for shopping not only for fuel but also non-fuel products. They may not be the most attractive gift, but they are one of the most popular gifts to give in the United States. This is because of the high cost of gas. Wouldn’t you be delighted not to have to pay for your gas the next time you need some?

can a taxi driver apply for a fuel card?

Friday, March 11th, 2011

my partner is a taxi driver, he works for a taxi firm but is classed as a self-employed sole trader. Can he apply for a fuel card or is this for businesses with fleets of vehicles only?
a maxol fuel card, they have all different types for different business types eg HGV fleets, company cars.

Yes he can, but what would probably be better (no interest or admin charges) would be a fuel account at your local filling station. Most UK garages do them.
