TCH, LLC and Zonar Systems Develop Z-Con

—————————————-—————————————-

New Fuel Purchase Authorization Technology

Ogden, UT and Seattle, WA — October 18, 2010 — TCH, LLC and Zonar will begin offering Z-Con to fueling locations and trucking companies across the U.S. and Canada. This new technology authorizes fuel pump transactions with security checks and multiple validations previously unavailable in the market.

Z-Con will be installed at participating truck stops throughout the U.S. and Canada. Companies will have each of their trucks outfitted with a Zonar telematics device. A series of sensors, radios and computers have been designed to consistently and accurately identify a truck when it enters and exits a diesel fuel lane. This new technology will help customers eliminate diesel fuel theft at the pump, improve information accuracy, and increase reporting back to the carrier; while eliminating the potential for human error and making the fueling process as a whole more efficient for both the driver and the truck stop.

As a vehicle approaches a Z-Con equipped fueling island, an ultrasonic sensor detects the presence of the truck activating the radio in the fuel canopy and an infrared transmitter. Once the infrared transmitter and the receiver in the truck are aligned, an LED on the windshield of the truck indicates to the driver authorization is in progress. After the VIN has been validated, the LED indicates that the driver is authorized to begin fueling. This entire, secure process takes seconds to complete.

Z-Con eliminates the need for drivers to swipe a fuel card or enter data to initialize a transaction — removing the possibility of inaccurate information and guaranteeing proper authorization and secure fueling. Z-Con also terminates fueling when the vehicle leaves the pump area, ensuring that only the correct truck is fueled.

would you rather a $2 per hour pay increase or a personal fuel card as payrise?

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Not sure which is better

There are a lot of factors you should take into consideration.

1. How much do you drive?
2. Will you have to pay taxes on the amount you spend on the gas card?
3. $2 per hour is a little more than 4K per year… how much do you make now and what percentage increase is $2 per hour?

The most important thing to consider is your future earnings.

35K per year now and get bumped up to 39K then next year when you are due for another increase you will make somewhere between 43-44K and the year after that you will make 47-49K.

If you take the Gas Card for the next 3 years you will have free gas but your salary will still be at 39K and you lose out on the cumulative effect of the salary increase over more than just 1 year.

The only way you consider the gas card is if you drive 40,000 miles per year or more and at 20miles per gallon that puts you at 2,000 gallons and at 3.50 per gallon you spend $7,000 per year on gas.

Take the money and run!!!!

Another reason… if you are being recruiter by another company 3 years years from now and you have a salary of 49K then the next company will need to offer you closer to 57K or more for you to leave your current employment.

If you are only making 39K then you would probably be offered closer to 45K to move. Thats a 12K loss per year for the rest of your life!!

Take the money!
