Paul addressed those things to the church because the only bible they had was the old covenant. Those churches were just operating by word of mouth. We have the bible to correct, rebuke, and reproof. If people just read their bible and spent time with the Lord, they would not get taken advantage of,led astray, of gotten over on. The Holy Ghost would not allow that to happen, if you yeild to Him.

God can do anything but fail. I’m not saying that God can’t give you a nice house and car, I’m saying that preachers not all of them but a lot of them are doing wrong with the money. These other rappers and all that are making and spending money are not preaching the word. For the record, i been saved according to Acts 2:38 n 2:4 for 30 years. I know the truth. Who’s really robbing God? The people that give as they can or the pastors that are taking the money to buy big homes and cars. You can’t pay to get to heaven. So many are putting the people back under the curse of the law. I had two homes in my life time. cars, etc and i give free will offering and sometimes not even to the church, but to people that are starving and really need help. i believe in free will offering like the Bible says in the new testament. tithing was under the law, we are under grace. There was so many times the apostles had time to tell the people to pay their tithes. This is wrong what the churches are doing and i been filled according to Acts 2:4 and 2:38 about 30 years ago. Pastors are buying mansions all kinds of cars, planes etc. Meanwhile the people are losing their homes and can’t eat. I’m still bless of the Lord and i haven’t paid tithes in years.

Another thing, anybody can pray for cheaper gas prices. The thing is gas prices are still going to stay high! The high gas prices are here b/c of bad forecasting on the US part and not a solid relationship with the countries we buy our oil from. Gas prices and the income of ones household is really a test of their faith. Praying is still an option but being smarter on the mgmt of money should be the wake up call for many.

People giving less b/c of gas and other financial troubles in these times is a result of, honestly, a persons lack of faith. I normally tithe and give an offering but recently it been very hard to do. The Bible clearly states in Malachi 3:8 – Will a man rob God? Yes you have robbed me. Where? In tithes and offerings. The true church is on the inside of( for those of us that has accepted Christ and his Holy Spirit ) The church building is just a place where we go to worship, and if for some reason you can’t go,..then just know that Christ lives within if you are truly born again.
